The city of Šibenik has become the main sponsor of 5th Adriatic Investment Forum where they will present their projects and development strategy.

We are pleased to inform you that the President of Republic of Croatia has accepted the patronage of 5th Adriatic Investment Forum. 

As part of the public consultation on cohesion policies at the EU Commission, the Medical Group ltd has designed and submitted the document Adriatic Health Tourism Platform attached and available for download. This is a concrete program for financing investment projects from health tourism aerea in the entire Adriatic region.

The first AHT INVEST FORUM, held from 11th to 13th October 2017, presented the project "Pašman" and hosted Mr Jeff Blackard, owner and director of Blackard Global from Dallas, whose business moves continues n Croatai, as announced on Forum.

The new issue of the oldest German monthly magazine „Berlin Magazine“ is bringing the big interview with Miljenko Bura, MD.Ph.D, a Consultant and President of Zagreb's Health Tourism Cluster and founder and initiator of the Adriatic Health and Tourism Investment Forum (AHT INVEST FORUM) Dr. Bura was a guest speaker on 4th Annual Conference on Medical Tourism in Berlin. In his interwiev, Dr. Bura highlighted the importance of using tools that link the health tourism services and advised to use it more (e.g. Health Card, which was also the Sponsor of the Conference). Also, he stress out the facts on the development of the Adriatichealth platform, that is actively involved in the creation of conditions for Adriatic region become the destination for full-time stay of the guests (especially the Silver generation) and moreover to attract the investment projects in helath inrastructure and health tourism.

In Berlin, the 4th Annual Conference on Medical Tourism was officially opened. In addition to numerous well-known experts, Dr. Miljenko Bura, a consultant and President of Zagreb's Health Tourism Cluster, was invited as the invited speaker. Among others, Dr. Bura emphasized in his presentation the importance of using tools that link the health tourism service and encourage their use. In this sense, the Health Card is presented - at the same time a Partnership Conference .Dr Bura will use his stay in Berlin to develop and improve the Adriatic Health platform.

On Friday, February 2nd, at the session of the Executive Board of the Croatian County Community, MG has officially presented their services and activities to the county mayors and other representatives of the state ministries, cities and some business entities. Pointing out to the possibility for each county to redirect or develop more intensively in health tourism projects, health infrastructure and full-time tourism that has the regional significance, this was the opportunity to get familiar with the vision and actual projects of the company. The possibilities for co-operation and joint activities has been open open, both in the preparation and presentation of the each county at the 2nd AHT INVEST FORUM 2018, which will take place from 10 to 12 October 2018 in Zagreb as well as in the specific resources that particular county already has.

At this moment, the health tourism brings around 300 million euros per year. Nevertheless, it could do much more. Since January 1st, the new Law on Provision of Tourism Services came into force, but still, there are many things that left undefined. What is the reason for that and what we should do to make more than a billion euros per year out of this tourism branch, answered within Croatian TV „Topic of the day“, dr. January, 25th 2018 – Dr. Miljenko Bura, a promoter of the concept of full-time tourism, with a focus on healthcare, met yesterday in Brussels a representative of the EU Commission Cabinet, the Regional Policy Committee and Development, Mr. Aurelio Cecilio, Head of Unit for Bulgaria, Croatia and Slovenia in the Directorate General Regional and Urban Policy within European Commission. The meeting occured within the activities oriented on developemnt of Adriatic Region and Croatia as destinations suitable for investments in healthcare infrastructure, tourism and health-tourism projects of the new generation.

On 24 January 2018 from 12:30-14:00 at Members Salon in EU Parliament at Brusseles, the lunch debate on healthy nutrition solutions will take place, hosted by MEPs Renate Sommer (EPP) and Marijana Petir (EPP).

„The 4th ANNUAL MEDICAL TOURISM CE CONFERENCE“, organized by Euroevents, will be held in Berlin, on February 15^th - 16^th and will bring out the latest trends in the topics of the Medical Tourism industry.

Dr. Bura: „The role of carriers of health toruism should be taken by private health institutions; but there are certain legal obstacles that stopped investments. E.g. the actual legislation does not consist the health tourism as a term at all!“
